Evaluation Q7

During the preliminary task i learnt how to use things like shot reverse shot and match on action, also i learned what the 180 degree rule was and how it is important to use so that it didnt confuse the audience. I learnt about the importance of continuity and how match on action is used to make the film fit together smoothly.

These things helped with the main product because i knew that when i was filming i needed to make sure all the cuts would fit together when we came to editing.
The preliminary task was fairly easy and it helped with the film opening because id had practice of putting together a short, continous film so i knew what i was doing when it came to the main production.

In the research and planning stage for the preliminary task we made a story board which we could follow when we were filming, it helped us because we knew in advance what shots we would need. We did the same for the main task as the preliminary task had given us practice at how to set out the story board.
For the construction stage we proressed from the preliminary task by using different shots which we had not used before, also we filmed some scenes outside which we had not done in the preliminary task and we were able to ensure there were no issues with the sound or anyrthing.
We did a much more detailed evaluation for the main task than we did for the preliminary task.
