We found out from the UK film councul that our film is aimed at mainly females under the age of 35, closely followed by males under the age of 35, we chose to aim our film at these people because there is bigger demand for a horror film from them.
The classification we gave our film was a 15 because it is a horror film so people much younger probably wouldnt want to watch it, also it doesnt have swearing or violence or drugs or anything so it doesnt need to be a higher classification. I think that the classification does help to establish our target audience a bit becauseit is aimed at women unde 35 so a 15 rating just means that no one under that age would be able to watch it not that people closer to 35 wouldnt like it.
Our film is likely to be released by a multiplex cinema because it is targeted at a mainstream audience not a niche market.
